In June of 2012, Richard consolidated his salons and his artistic team under one roof at 399 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY 11514. The 12,000 square foot, state of the art Salon /Spa has an urban sophistication. For over four decades his reputation for creating trends in the beauty industry has been documented in numerous fashion publications.
Recognized as a “style innovator,” Calcasola combines creativity with business wisdom. As a member of Intercoiffure USA/Canada, he has served in the most prestigious position as North American Creative Director for Intercoiffure Mondial, which is the international organization of high-quality, top 1% salons around the world. Richard was part of the worldwide creative team, sharing the perception of beauty for professionals and consumers. What is beauty? And how fashion influences the answers. Richard is a frequent guest artist, teacher and speaker at salons throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. An avid contributor to publications on fashion, beauty, architecture and the arts, Mr. Calcasola attends international fashion and beauty events including Fashion Week in New York, Cosmoprof in Las Vegas, and London’s annual Hairworld and Salon International, ICA World Congress in Paris and Japan.
